  • I finally got to try this ramen spot after craving a good shio (salt) ramen for so long. Most places only serve tonkotsu pork broth, so I was excited to find a place that offers something different. The restaurant is small with mostly bar-style seating. When you walk in, you write down your name and party size, and once your turn is getting close you place your order on a tablet. We waited about 30 minutes, and there was already a big line out front, so we knew right away this place had to be legit. The ramen did not disappoint — the shio and shoyu (soy sauce) broths were flavorful and comforting, something you really can’t find at most other spots. It even felt a bit like home for my Japanese wife. Overall, great ramen, worth the wait, and a perfect spot if you’re craving something other than the usual tonkotsu. Highly recommend!

  • I’ve always noticed this ramen shop packed with people, and today I finally made it in right at opening. The menu is ordered through tablets, and the limited seating fills quickly. We tried the shoyu ramen with pork fat and the tsukemen—both wonderfully light yet flavorful, with great chashu toppings. My only regret was missing out on the egg, which has to be ordered separately. Definitely recommend this place. Worth the premium

  • If you are craving a good bowl of shoyu ramen, then Ramen Matsu is the place. The broth tastes clean and deep. The noodle texture is perfectly firm and chewy. The spicy chicken rice is a perfect complement to the ramen bowl. The rice is cooked perfectly. Just a really good meal where you can leave the restaurant very satisfied.

  • Amazing broth. Noodles are the perfect texture and feel. The flavor is not incredibly strong--which is great. I loved the subtlety of each dish. The atmosphere is great as it's similar to a hole in the wall Japanese ramen shop where you can watch the couple that runs the place as they prepare the dishes and ramen. Truly an authentic feeling experience.

  • Not your average ramen spot! Both shoyu and shio will warm your soul with it amazing broth! If you have a big appetite like me give the deluxe with chashu don a try. Not sure if this is frowned upon, but I like to eat the ramen first and then throw the chashu don into the broth and mixing it after eating all the noodles and meat. I recommend getting to the restaurant right before they open as they are first come first serve with no reservation system. They have a virtual line you can get on, and the wait may take a while... But the wait is worth it

  • Again, the best Japanese Ramen place in NJ for sure. When you get in, you need to place an order using a tablet by the door. It's an open kitchen. The master makes the ramen right in front of you. They only serve until the preparations sell out. Soooooooooomg good

  • All i can say is wow! One of the BEST ramen spot ive eaten. It’s a small tight space and They have only a couple of seats mostly like a bar seat type and one small table on the side. Only just couple food items in their menu and you put your order in a kiosk. It was so simple yet so delicious. I got the shoyu ramen and the broth was perfect not too salty, noodles was perfectly cooked with perfect texture in your mouth and the ingredients was not overwhelming just like other ramen places . The chef cooked it in front of you and the vibes really feels like you’re in Japan. Ive never finished ramen before since its pretty heavy for me but this one is an exemption, I inhaled it till the last drop. One of the best Ramen spots in NJ indeed and Definitely a must visit when you’re in bergen county!!!!!! Will definitely be coming back for more!
